The rescue device developed by BRI has carried out 11 times of rescue for the high-speed and EMU trains of eight railway bureaus that broke down during operation on railway lines from 2011 to 2021

The first rescue: In May 2011, BRI rescued the faulty train from Tianjin Yangliuqing Station to Beijing depot of 145 kilometers (first-generation rescue products)

On May 17th, 2011, a 16-unit CRH3 EMU train traveled from Changchun to Jinan,which was manufactured by Changchun Railway Plant and was going to be launched for use . During the driving, axle No. 3 of carriage ZE621507 was found to have wheelset bearing burnt and could not roll. After receiving the emergency rescue notice from the Transportation Bureau of the Ministry of Railways, BRI immediately organized personnel to carry the rescue suspension device to Tianjin Yangliuqing Station to implement rescue, and successfully rescued the faulty train to the Beijing depot, with a rescue mileage of 145 kilometers, and successfully completed the rescue task of the high-speed and EMU trains for the first time.

The second rescue: In October 2012, BRI rescued the faulty train from Haining West Station of Shanghai-Hangzhou Line to Hangzhou EMU station (first-generation rescue products)

On October 21st, 2012, the 16-unit CRH1-044B train D3201 was running to Haining West Station, and it was found that the No. 4 axle bearing of car 9 was burned and could not run normally. After receiving the emergency rescue call from Shanghai Railway Bureau, BRI immediately sent personnel to Haining West Railway Station to implement rescue and successfully rescued the faulty train to Hangzhou EMU station.


The second rescue scene


The third rescue: In October 2013, BRI rescued the faulty train from Beijing South Railway Station to Beijing EMU depot (second-generation rescue products).

On October 14th, 2013, CRH380BL-6022 high-speed EMU G44 was traveling from Hangzhou to Beijing South Railway Station, during the driving process, the fourth driving wheel gearbox of car 1 was leaking seriously, the gear wheel of the gearbox could not rotate, the wheelset tread was seriously bruised, and it could not run normally. After receiving the emergency rescue call from Beijing Railway Bureau, BRI immediately dispatched personnel to implement rescue and successfully rescued the faulty train to the Beijing EMU depot.


The third rescue scene


The fourth rescue: In May 2015, BRI rescued the faulty train from Baoding East Station to Beijing West EMU Train Station (third-generation rescue products)

On the evening of May 8th, 2015, after receiving an emergency call for assistance from the Beijing Railway Bureau, our staff immediately rushed to the scene with the rescue suspension device , and successfully rescued the Baoding East CRH380A-2522 faulty train to the Beijing West EMU Station at 5:20am on May 10th.


The fourth rescue scene


The fifth rescue: In February 2016, BRI rescued the faulty train from Quzhou Station to Hangzhou EMU station for 240 kilometers,  It is the longest rescue mileage in the world (third-generations rescue products)

On February 1st, 2016, the day approaching the Spring Festival, CRH2C-2108 EMU train G7697 was running from Xuzhou east to Jiangshan, when arriving Quzhou , it was found serious mechanical failure, gear box oil leakage, and can not operate normally. BRI received an emergency call for help from Shanghai Railway Bureau, and immediately sent personnel to the scene to guide the installation of rescue suspension device and temperature control and infrared monitoring system to implement rescue work. From the second to the fourth day of the New Year, the use of three nights of "Operation gap period" to implement EMU rescue, a total of 240 kilometers, and safely rescue the faulty train to Hangzhou EMU station, and the rescue suspension device developed by BRI has once again withstood the test and successfully completed the rescue work.

"The reason why 2108C can successfully return to Hangzhou Institute this time, is because the preliminary preparation work was done well." It took only three nights of "operation gap period" to set the train back,and the driving distance was long to 240 kilometres ,and the speed limit is 30km/h on the main line and 15km /h on the turnout.

In the early stage, we will work with transportation, maintenance, and power supply for many times to study the return scheme, including the cross-zone power supply (because of the ramp, the speed limit of 15 km/h can not cross the phase zone,including 11 phase zones from Quzhou to Hangzhou ), including the installation of camera monitoring of the whole return. We have arranged the staff at EMU depot to record the installation of the suspension wheel device and the whole trip of sending back the train. This return is relatively smooth, we have a good summary of it, and then form a teaching plan to train the staff at several EMU stations.

The fifth rescue scene


The sixth rescue: In July 2016, BRI rescued the faulty rail engineering vehicle from Xinxiang Station on Beijing-Guangzhou Line to Xinxiang locomotive depot (third-generation rescue product)

On July 18th, 2016, BRI successfully rescued the faulty rail engineering vehicle from Xinxiang Station on Beijing-Guangzhou Line to Xinxiang locomotive depot, ensuring the normal opening and safe operation of the railway transportation lines.


The sixth rescue scene


The seventh rescue: In August 2016, BRI rescued the faulty train from Dagang Station to Nanchang West EMU Station (third-generation rescue products)

On August 3rd, 2016, the No.D6512 EMU train was running from Fuzhou to Nanchang ,and passed Dagang Station at 22:10 on the same day,the EMU CRH2A-2215 broke down and could not run normally. After inspecting the running part of the train for about 30 minutes, it was judged that the wheel temperature of the train was too high. The staff in Nanchang Railway Bureau immediately contacted with BRI, and the personnel at Nanchang West Railway Station carried the  rescue suspension device, under the guidance of technical staff of BRI, started on-site installation and debugging, finally successfully rescued the faulty train from Dagang Station to Nanchang West Railway Station at 4am that day.

The eighth rescue: In April 2017, BRI successfully implemented the rescue of faulty rail engineering vehicles on Jining West Railway on Jingbao Line (third-generation rescue products)

The ninth rescue: In May 2017, BRI rescued the faulty train from the Yanglingnan depot on Baolan Line to the Xi 'an EMU train depot (third-generation rescue products)

At 23:17 on May 24th, 2017, CRH380B-3764+3710 heavy linkage train set (Xilan trail run Type III Vehicle), was running to Yangling South downbound line K1130+095, and stopped due to the temperature alarm of car 02 s 2-position bogies’4-axis left axle in CRH380B EMU, after inspection by the on-board technician,they confirmed that the axle temperature is too high to run normally. It was decided to use the rescue suspension device for rescue. The staff at Xi 'an EMU train depot called us and requested telephone installation guidance and rescue. At 4:15am on the 25th, the faulty train left the main line with the rescue suspension device, and was rescued to the third lane of Yangling South Station at 8:50 am on the day. In order to avoid affecting the trains running on the main line of Xibao, the rescue of the malfunctioning EMU continued at 22:00 that night, and the faulty train was successfully rescued to the Xi 'an EMU depot at 2:44 the next morning.


The 9th rescue scene


The tenth rescue: In January 2018, BRI rescued the faulty train from Jimo District in Qingdao to CRRC Sifang Factory (third-generation rescue products).

On January 12th, 2018, when a high-speed train was driving to Jimo District in Qingdao, the wheel set broke down and could not run normally. After receiving an emergency rescue call from the leader of Qingdao EMU depot at 11 o 'clock on the same day,we immediately guided the installation of the rescue suspension device remotely. The faulty train was distributed at 20:22 that night, and was rescued to CRRC Sifang Plant at 5am the next day.


The 10th rescue scene


The eleventh rescue: In November 2021, BRI rescued the faulty train from Harbin North Station to Harbin West EMU Station (third-generation rescue products)

On the afternoon of November 19th, 2021,One axle gearbox in the train (CRH5G-5146) had some malfunctions , stopped in Harbin North station and can not run normally, we received a rescue call, immediately guided the rescue device installation, and the faulty train was successfully rescued to Harbin West Railway station at 11pm on the same day.
